Three plays in a row resulted in turnovers for the Panthers and Cardinals.

A wild sequence of events resulted in three turnovers off of three different plays – two for the Cardinals and one for the Panthers. After Cam Newton’s touchdown put the Panthers up 24-7, the Cardinals were desperate to get some momentum going. But on their first offensive snap, Palmer coughed up the ball once again:

Short field for the Panthers means they’ll score right? Well, Patrick Peterson had other plans. After his fumble resulted in Carolina’s third touchdown of the game, he was eager to redeem himself. And he did just that with a long interception return:

That’s exactly what the Cardinals needed! So now they’re going to go on and score right? Palmer had Kurt Coleman wide open in the end zone… only problem is he plays for the Panthers.

What a wild sequence, and it came right before the stroke of halftime. If there was ever a time for Arizona to get back in this game, it would’ve been then. The Cardinals should be encouraged by the fact that the Seahawks made a game of it when they were down by 31 at the half last week, but those turnovers could be a back-breaker. They’ll need to dig deep if they want to get back in it.
