The internet wasted no time roasting the Arizona Cardinals after their blowout loss to the Carolina Panthers.

As if the beating they took by the Panthers wasn’t enough, the Arizona Cardinals had to hear it from social media as well. The Internet, as you know, is savage and they had fun at the expense of the Cardinals who up until the NFC Championship Game had a great season.

It is the second year in a row that the Cardinals’ season ended against the Panthers, but they had a better chance this year after they were forced to go with Ryan Lindley in the playoffs.

Taking a big portion of the criticism was Carson Palmer. After making a case for Comeback Player of the Year and looking like the second or third best quarterback all season, his playoff numbers weren’t as impressive. In fact, they resembled something closer to his days in Cincinnati or Oakland.

For the Cardinals, and Bruce Arians, they will have to regroup in the offseason. There shouldn’t be any shame in losing to a great Panthers team, especially if they go on to win the Super Bowl, but there’s clearly work to be done if they want to keep their window to win a championship open.
