Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis left the NFC Championship game with an arm injury, but just how hurt is he?

One of the biggest pieces of the Carolina Panthers’s stud defense is Pro Bowler Thomas Davis. He’s been a great story over the years as he’s twice been in a situation where the Panthers could have cut bait on an injured veteran but both times stuck with Davis. The end result has been one of the best seasons of his career and a trip to the Pro Bowl.

But thing took a turn in the NFC Championship game when Davis left with an arm injury. Carolina was already down Jared Allen and Roman Harper and losing Davis even for a short period of time was not something the team wanted to deal with.

Davis was ruled out at halftime, which is bad news for the Panthers moving forward.

That’s a huge blow to the Panthers defense, as they’ve needed to hold in the second half of games they’ve led big in this season.

If he’s lost for the Super Bowl, that’s going to be a massive blow to a Panthers defense that has relied in a big way on their Pro Bowler on more than one occasion.
