The New England Patriots lost in the AFC Championship Game, and Tom Brady has some explaining to do.
Tom Brady and the New England Patriots aren’t headed to Super Bowl after they were crushed in Denver in the AFC Championship Game. It all came down to a missed extra point in the first half and then two drives that could have ended in field goals, but instead ended with no points at all.
That ended up being six critical points left on the board in a game that the Patriots lost 20-12, so to say those weren’t huge failures is to basically ignore what happened. Some of that falls on Bill Belichick, but it also falls on Brady for not coming through when his team needed him the most.
Of course, that means Tom Brady has some questions to answer — especially with all of the DeflateGate drama that happened earlier in the year and the narrative that was surrounding that. Brady’s season is over, the DelfateGate stuff will pop up over the offseason when the NFL takes things back to court. But for now, Brady has some questions to answer from Sunday as his season has come crashing to an end.
