The NFL has announced its three finalists for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award.

The National Football League has announced that Eli Manning, Anquan Boldin and Benjamin Watson are the three finalists for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. The award is for the player who best exemplifies good values and provides the most for his community.

Last year, the award was won by Thomas Davis, a standout inside linebacker for the Carolina Panthers. Manning has been famously involved in the surrounding areas of New York and New Jersey while also hosting football camps throughout his career. Watson is known as one of the finest men in the game, spanning a career that has seen him with the New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints.

Boldin was a finalist last year, a testament to how much he has done. The 35-year-old has been with the Baltimore Ravens, Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers, showcasing his humanity throughout all three stops. The winner of the award will be named the night before the Super Bowl, a nice way to ease into the biggest game of the year.
