When is the 2016 NFL Draft?
In 2015, the NFL Draft was moved to Chicago for the first time since 1964. From that point on, the NFL Draft was always held in New York City, in recent years at Radio City Music Hall. The event will once again by in Chicago, taking place from April 28-30, 2016.
The first night of the draft is once again a Thursday, taking place in primetime. It will only consist of the first round and probably last somewhere in the neighborhood of three hours. The second night, a Friday, will once again be around three to four hours in length, with the second and third rounds being doled out. The final day is a Saturday afternoon, with the final four rounds being taken care of.
This year, the Tennessee Titans will have the first pick followed by the Cleveland Browns and San Diego Chargers. There are only going to be 31 picks in the first round this year, with the New England Patriots having to forfeit their selection because of the DeflateGate fiasco. The hometown Chicago Bears will be picking in the top half of the draft once again, the second straight year that the crowd won’t be forced to wait around.
