When is the Super Bowl 50 halftime show starting?

When will Super Bowl 50’s halftime show starring Coldplay and Beyonce start?

This is Super Bowl 50, the Golden Anniversary of football’s biggest game. That means the NFL will be pulling out the stops for the big game, and that means a spectacular halftime show.

It will be hard to follow Katy Perry’s incredible performance from last year, but the NFL is going all out. Coldplay was announced as the headlining act.

The NFL first announced Coldplay in early December. Halftime show sponsors Pepsi announced in early January that Beyonce would also be performing at the show, she recently headlined a halftime show as well. Bruno Mars, who also headlined a recent halftime show, will be joining in as well.

Given that the game will start at 6:30 p.m. ET, the show will most likely start around 8 p.m. ET.

That is a pretty dynamic trio, Coldplay aided by two Super Bowl halftime show vets. Beyonce wasn’t too suprising considering her recent collaboration with the British band on their new album “A Head Full of Dreams.”

This is a huge stage for the NFL and the artists. Last year’s halftime show  was the most-watched in history with 118 million viewers. An all-star line up like the NFL has in plan could help the NFL beat those numbers. The annoucement that Beyonce and Bruno Mars were joining helped build interest after the initial backlash over the decision to have Coldplay perform.
