The Denver Broncos announced that they will be wearing their white uniforms in Super Bowl 50 against the Carolina Panthers.

One of the big questions leading up to the Super Bowl every year is the color of the uniforms that each team will wear in the big game. There’s a bit of a superstition when it comes to uniforms and the designated home team gets to pick which uniform that they will wear in the Super Bowl.

For Super Bowl 50, the Denver Broncos have been designated as the home team this season and they have elected to wear their all-white uniform combination. The Broncos officially announced the move on the team’s website and John Elway even provided some thoughts behind the decision.

"“We’ve had Super Bowl success in our white uniforms, and we’re looking forward to wearing them again in Super Bowl 50,” said Executive Vice President of Football Operations and General Manager John Elway."

Going with the white uniforms has been a winning formula for teams in the Super Bowl. A team in a colored jersey hasn’t won a Super Bowl since the

Green Bay Packers

took down the

Pittsburgh Steelers

back in Super Bowl XLV.

The last time the Broncos were in the Super Bowl, they wore their orange uniforms and got absolutely obliterated by the Seattle Seahawks. Since they won their last Super Bowl in white uniforms and history is on their side, they have made a very wise decision in uniform choice.
