The NBA starts off the week strong with nine games on tap for this Monday night giving us plenty of options to choose from as we pick our DFS fantasy basketball teams.  NBATV has a nice double-header, and the marquee matchup of the night is definitely the first of four regular season showdowns between the Warriors and the Spurs which goes down at 10:30 at ORACLE Arena.  Whether you load up on that game or use your fantasy basketball team as more of a prelim to the nightcap, check out my FanDuel daily picks on the following slides to see the players I like the most in tonight’s matchups.

More from Chicago Bulls

The first games of the night start at the typical 7:00 PM ET which is when rosters will lock down on FanDuel for the night.  The NBATV double-header starts with the Cavaliers in their second game under Tyronn Lue hosting Minnesota while at the same time the Wizards host Boston in a nice Eastern Conference rivalry.  In another Eastern Conference showdown, at 8:00 the Bulls host a beat up Miami team while at the same time the Grizz host Orlando and the Pelicans and Anthony Davis host red-hot James Harden and the Rockets.

As we shift to the games out West, at 9:00 the Nuggets take on the Hawks and the Jazz welcome in Detroit.  In the final game to tip off before the headliner, the Kings look to keep rolling as they take on Kemba Walker and the Hornets. All those compelling games should get us ready for the big game of the night at 10:30 as the Warriors look to improve to 21-0 at home as they host San Antonio in the first meeting of the two Western Conference superpowers.

With those 18 teams packing the schedule, there are plenty of different ways to put together a solid DFS team.  My FanDuel daily picks on the following slides are a great place to start building your winning roster to start the week. Each position has two slides assigned to it–one for high-salary options and one for high-value options. Each slide contains at least two options with a few extras thrown in where possible.  I base each pick on the current form of each player and the positional matchups each player will face in tonight’s game.

This month, I also have started to rank my picks using stars after each selection. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but the short version is “more stars=more confidence.” On the final slide of the post, you can see my results for the last three weeks at each level of confidence.  Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the best of my picks into my lineup for today’s contests.

In this post, all salary references and references to “fantasy points” refer to FanDuel pricing and scoring.  If you are looking for similar coverage specifically for DraftKings, check the box above for related posts or find the latest on our fantasy basketball hub.
