The 2016 NFL Scouting Combine will be the final chance for college football players to prove themselves before the NFL Draft.

All eyes are currently on the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers as the two teams prepare to play in Super Bowl 50, but as soon as the game ends the focus will shift. The offseason will officially begin, which means it is time to talk about the draft. The biggest audition for the draft is the NFL Scouting Combine.

This actually constitutes a type of regular season for fans of teams, such as those in Cleveland or Jacksonville, who find little success during the actual games.

The 2016 NFL Scouting Combine will take place February 23-29 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The event will serve as a job interview of sorts for players looking to prove their skill sets to the countless scouts and executives in attendance.

The event used to always feature the top talents in the nation participating in each workout, but it is not rare to see top prospects pick and choose the events they want to participate in. This new trend has been helped along by the popularity of Pro Days, where players dictate how they will show off their skills to scouts.

If you’re former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel, that meant blaring vulgar music in front of a former president. All the signs were there from the start.

The Combine has grown in popularity as social media has evolved, and things will be no different in 2016.
