What Major League Baseball players have won this off-season?

It’s mid-January and we are about a month away from Spring Training beginning. There are still some really good talent out there on the MLB free agent market like Dexter Fowler in the outfield, Howie Kendrick in the infield and Yovani Gallardo on the mound. It’s time to not only look at teams who are winners and losers of the off-season, but also players.

I’m not here to dwell on the negative and this is going to be a positive article. This is going to be about players who made some good decisions this off-season. Players who read the market and did the right thing. Sometimes you win by changing your situation. Sometimes you win by staying right where you are and thinking about the market.

Now of course, someone who I declare a winner here may not turn out to actually be a winning decision, but as of right now, at least to me, they made the right call.

So who are the five players that won the off-season? Who are the five guys who have put themselves in a great position for the 2016 season and even beyond? Let’s delve into it.
