3. P-Zack Greinke

Anytime you can set a record because of your free agent deal you are winning in the off-season. Zack Greinke is definitely a winner.

Everyone thought he was going to stay with Los Angeles Dodgers. He opt-ed out and bet on himself and got paid in the process. The Arizona Diamondbacks swooped in and gave him a Brinks truck worth of money.

Greinke got $18 million just to sign his name on the dotted line. He’s getting between $31 and $32 million every year for the next five years AND has $62 million coming his way in deferred money. All told he will receive $206 million.

Greinke along with Shelby Miller and Patrick Corbin should solidify a rotation surrounded by one of the best defenses in the game and powerful hitters like Paul Goldschmidt and A.J. Pollack.

The Diamondbacks are one of the sexy off-season picks for 2016 (we all know how that works out) and the signing of Greinke is a huge reason why.
