Clippers issue statement on Blake Griffin’s hand injury
By Jack Crosby
The Los Angeles Clippers have come out and issued a statement on the injury and actions of Blake Griffin.
Very late Monday night news started to spread that Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin had left the team’s road trip after suffering a hand injury. Griffin has been out anyway, but he was still on the road traveling with the team. Well, on Tuesday, we would come to find out that Griffin didn’t exactly suffer the hand injury while trying to rehab to get back onto the court.
Tuesday reports began to surface that Griffin in fact suffered the injury following an altercation with a team staff member that began in a restaurant and then eventually boiled over to outside. Not exactly the best look for Griffin or the organization.
Well just a short while ago, the team issued a statement not only on the injury that Griffin suffered which will keep him out anywhere from four to six weeks, but condemning his actions as well.
So from the looks at the statement, when they say they’re investigating the situation with the help of the league office, not only will Griffin be out four to six weeks with the injury, but he might be looking at some punishment as well. If Adam Silver and the suits at the offices are getting involved in this in some form or fashion, there’s no telling what sort of example they may make out of the star to show that you shouldn’t put your hands on team staff members under any circumstances.
To see that we will have to wait, but for now, we do in fact know that Griffin will be out a significant amount of time and he conducted himself in an inappropriate and unprofessional manner in public.
