Blake Griffin has broken his hand after punching a Clippers staff member, but who was that staff member?
There was some wild news in the NBA on Tuesday, with the news that Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin will be out four to six weeks after suffering a broken hand. Now, the wild part in all of this is exactly how Griffin suffered the injury.
Griffin has been out since the day after Christmas with a quadriceps injury, but he has been on the road with the team as he was getting set to come back. However, during a recent visit to a Toronto restaurant, Griffin reportedly got into with a member of the Clippers staff and things got so escalated physically that the star ended up breaking his hand, an injury that will require surgery.
There are of course a lot of questions surrounding this incident that involves one of the biggest stars in the NBA, but most have really been wondering who exactly was the one that got into it so badly with Griffin.
Well, according to Sam Amick of USA TODAY, the Clippers staffer is equipment manager Matias Testi. To make things a little more out of the ordinary, the two are very close friends and have been for a while.
Apparently they do get into it from time to time, but it’s probably usually in good fun. Testi joined the team right around the same time Griffin did and they occasionally hung out together outside of the arenas.
This time, though, things went just way too far and now the team is stuck with this embarrassing situation surrounding arguably their biggest star.
