SF—Omri Casspi ($6,000)

Though there’s no official word on the status of Rudy Gay for Tuesday night with the Sacramento Kings. However, with the way he looked after taking a finger to the eye on Monday night and with reports that he had a scratched eyeball after the game, it’s not looking good at all for his status on Tuesday night. If he indeed does sit out, that could mean a huge increase in role for Omri Casspi, making him a more than usable option in DFS play against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Casspi has been a solid player from a fantasy perspective for most of the season with the Kings. Even better, Casspi has been playing quite well as of late too. The veteran forward has been at 26 fantasy points or better in DraftKings scoring in six out of his last 10 games, particularly producing quite well when he’s in a considerable role in the Sacramento rotation. Now that he’s possibly going to be playing in Gay’s role, though, that leaves him back in that larger role.

While the Blazers actually defend the small forward position well this season, Casspi has been playing well regardless of matchup for most of the season and is going to be in an increased role on Tuesday night.
