A look at the upcoming college football schedule for the Florida State Seminoles of the ACC.
Tuesday the full ACC football schedule was released to the masses, showing us what we could expect from some of the best teams in the conference for this upcoming season. Of course, when you talk about the best teams in the ACC, one of the first teams that many will point out is the Florida State Seminoles.
Last season was supposedly a rebuilding year for Florida State, who in 2014 found themselves in the College Football Playoff. However, despite it being a rebuilding year, they were still able to earn themselves a New Year’s Six berth where they faced the Houston Cougars in a game they were outplayed in. Still, all in all, it was not all that disappointing of a year for Florida State.
This season the Seminoles will look to get back on track towards the national championship, and to reach that goal, they will need to get through their entire schedule first. Well, here is a look at that slate.
Really, there’s two games here that really stand out. Right off the bat Florida State opens with a neutral site game on a Monday night against the Ole Miss Rebels, one of the up-and-coming teams in the SEC. Then in late October, there’s the game all college football fans look forward to every year as they welcome in the team that just played in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, the Clemson Tigers.
While those two games stand out to everyone, there could be some possible trap games in there somewhere, as such was the case when Florida State was upset on the road against Georgia Tech last season on one of the craziest plays that we have ever seen.
