Los Angeles Clippers guard Lance Stephenson made sure to make it known that he was not the person Blake Griffin punched.

The story of Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin breaking his hand punching a team employee has been one of the strangest pieces of recent NBA news. While the league is looking into it and investigating it, one member of the Clippers made it known that he wasn’t the one that got popped.

ESPN NFL Nation reporter Mike Wells caught up with Stephenson during his return to Indiana, and that’s when Stephenson saidvhe knows that people probably thought it was him that got punched.

It’s hard not to agree with Stephenson on this one. He’s been such an agitator throughout his career, that many people have probably wanted to deck him. Everyone remembers when he kept blowing in the ear of LeBron James and it turned Stephenson into one of the more disliked players in the game.

Stephenson knows he has a reputation, but he also wanted to make sure that it is known that he wasn’t the one Griffin punched, which caused him to break his hand. Before everyone knew that Griffin punched the equipment manager, there was a lot of rumors swirling about who he may have punched.

Stephenson was an easy guess that people naturally gravitated toward. However, this time it was not Stephenson that was causing the problems. He might not want to blow in someone’s ear again however.
