After a purported video of Missouri quarterback Maty Mauk using drugs surfaced, the school suspended the quarterback.
The Missouri Tigers have suspended quarterback Maty Mauk. Mauk was set to be a redshirt senior next season for the Tigers and now his status will be up in the air after a video reportedly surfaced of him engaging in illegal activities with drugs.
It’s another case of a young quarterback not being smart with how they spend their downtime. There has been a video that has been making rounds on social media of the incident and the university is aware of the video and released a statement about the ordeal.

Mauk was suspended twice this past season by the program and it was clear enough that he already had enough issues on his plate to deal with. With the newest incident coming to light in the worst way possible for everyone to see, it’s clear that there’s going to be some major fallout for Mauk at the end of Missouri’s evidence gathering.
It’s clear the young man is in some serious need of help and like many young athletes before him that have had issues with drug use, the hope is that he can get the right help and get his life back on track.
As for how things shake out for the Tigers’ roster, that will remain to be seen as spring ball rolls around the corner.
