Chris Paul makes incredible pass under hoop (Video)
Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul made an incredible pass underneath the hoop to DeAndre Jordan.
The Atlanta Hawks and Los Angeles Clippers played a tight defensive battle on Wednesday night, in a battle where every point counted. Late in the game in Atlanta, Chris Paul showed off his sweet handles and made perhaps the biggest pass of the night to give the Clippers the lead late against the Hawks.
As Chris Paul drove the interior, the Hawks’ defense thought Paul was going in for a layup and Al Horford followed Paul all the way to the hoop. That’s when Paul pulled off one of his most beautiful assists yet, by reaching around Horford’s body with his left hand and hitting DeAndre Jordan right on the money with a pass in front of a wide-open hoop.
With Horford all the way over by Paul, Jordan had the easiest dunk he could possibly have and he slammed it home to give the Clippers the lead late.
Great point guards make great plays late to set up their teammates up for winning shots and that’s exactly what Paul did here, by drawing the Hawk’ defense right in.
He’s one of the best point guards in the NBA for a reason and this play just highlights how good Paul is when he has the basketball in his hands late in games.
