LeBron James brought the crowd to their feet by slamming home an alley-oop off the backboard from J.R. Smith.
The Cleveland Cavaliers started the night off sloppy against a bad Phoenix Suns team. In the second half of the game, the Cavaliers began looking like the Cavaliers and the Suns began looking like the Suns. The Cavaliers, behind LeBron James, quickly squashed any momentum the Suns had and a huge play sent the Suns’ night into a downward spiral.
After Suns guard Archie Goodwin turned over the ball, it looked like J.R. Smith would take it all the way for the fast break dunk, but he instead noticed a trailing James and served up an insane lob off the backboard right to James.
James took the lob and slammed it home with two hands to give the crowd and the Cavaliers some needed energy that the team has lacked for a while.
It was an unselfish play by Smith to give it up and set up James for what was easily one of the best dunks in the NBA this season. James has been frustrated with the team’s play lately and it looked like he took out every ounce of aggression on that dunk.
