Norwich City: Aaron Lennon
Norwich’s team, in all honesty, is terrible. Alex Neil is a terrific manager doing a terrific job with a sub standard squad. Yet, there is only so much a manager can eek out of his players, and sometimes an injection of quality becomes a necessity rather than a luxury. Neil has done this already in the January transfer window, bringing in Steven Naismith from Everton. The Scottish forward will provide much-needed Premier League quality and experience in a squad bereft of both.
If Norwich want to give themselves a chance of staying up this year, they will need to bring in more attacking talent than just Naismith, and they could find what they need by raiding Everton once more, recruiting Naismith’s teammate Aaron Lennon. The pacy right-winger has proven himself in the English top-tier at Everton and Spurs before them, and would provide Norwich with some much needed pace and quality out wide.
Relegation is a huge fear factor in this league. It is what drives much of the business at the lower end of the Premier League in the January transfer window with every club scrapping for players to help them stave off such a terrible outcome. Norwich are one of a host of clubs that will be scrapping for such players, and Aaron Lennon could certainly come in and perform well for the Canaries.
