Based solely on his eyes, you can tell Bobby Portis is pretty intense. The rookie big man is going to be getting a lot more minutes with both Joakim Noah and Nikola Mirotic sidelined for the Chicago Bulls. He’s had an impact in limited minutes throughout the season, and it’ll be fun to see what he can do with an expanded role.
He got in to Thursday night’s game against the Lakers early in the first, and made an instant impact by grabbing an offensive rebound and drawing a foul. Based on this hearty high-five he gave to Jimmy Butler, Portis was pretty fired up about his opportunity (via @TheCauldron):
