This is the reason the Dallas Cowboys are going to be parting with defensive end Greg Hardy.
The Dallas Cowboys and defensive end Greg Hardy appear to be heading for a split in the offseason. Ever since the Cowboys added Greg Hardy this past season, it seemed that they were destined for an end eventually.
On Thursday night, Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole keyed everyone in on what could be a split soon between the Cowboys and Hardy. However, it’s not for the domestic violence issue or starting fights with other players on the team.
According to Cole, the Cowboys could part ways with Hardy because of issues with partying.
"“Hardy partied a lot during the season and simply was not in great physical shape as the season wore on and on and on,” Cole said. “That was part of the reason he was tardy to several meetings during the season and part of the reason the team felt so distracted by his presence.”"
Of all the things that could lead to a split between the Cowboys and Hardy, it’s certainly interesting that it’s going to be his issues with partying. Hardy is certainly not the first and nor will he be the last member of the Cowboys to have trouble with partying.
Now it’s certainly a valid reason to go separate ways and most teams would for that reason, but considering his past, it seems almost ludicrous that partying is the reason their would be a split. Still, it would be pretty ironic if the Cowboys and Hardy split ways for partying and then the Cowboys add quarterback Johnny Manziel.
The Cowboys are officially up to crazy things, which means the offseason is right around the corner.
