Former NHL forward Jeremy Roenick has plenty to say about John Scott.

The biggest story in the National Hockey League in recent weeks has been the saga of defenseman John Scott. Scott, a marginal player who began the year with the Arizona Coyotes, was voted into the All-Star Game by the fans. Many went crazy over the invite going to a payer who was barely maintaining NHL status.

A few weeks ago, Scott was oddly dealt to the Montreal Canadiens, voiding his All-Star game bid because he was traded and then sent to the minors. After getting a ton of heat both in the United States and especially in Canada, the league relented and allowed Scott to participate in the All-Star Game. Apparently, former NHL star Jeremy Roenick is not happy about Scott choosing to play.

Roenick needs to chill out. First off, Roenick was a terrific player but who cares about his respect?? Moore got voted into a game that means absolutely nothing and wants to enjoy the experience. Who the hell is Roenick to talk about respecting the guy? Roenick and you have the same amount of Stanley Cup rings, and when you watch him on NBC Sports Network, you wonder what he is thinking at times.

Look, he’s a great player and deserving of a Hall of Fame bid, but he has no business popping off about Scott going to the All-Star Game. It means nothing, it is for the fans. Relax.
