A few San Diego Chargers players reacted to the news that they will be staying in San Diego in 2016.
It was a big day for the future of the San Diego Chargers on Friday, as the team announced that they had reached an agreement in principle to move into the new stadium with the Los Angeles Rams in Inglewood. There was also an interesting bit of news when it was announced that the Chargers would still be playing in San Diego next season.
While the future of the Chargers looks like it will be in Los Angeles, they’re getting another year in San Diego and perhaps another chance to make things work with the city. With the team spending another year in San Diego, some players reacted to the news and called on fans to come out and support the team next year.
Philip Rivers: "Everybody, all the children and wife and myself are all pretty fired up to know at least another season and hopefully more."

So it's looks like we are going to be in San Diego for another season. The stadium better be packed. The fans got what they wanted.

How the fans in San Diego respond will certainly be something to keep an eye on for the future of the Chargers. While it seems like a great chance for one last rallying cry by the Chargers’ faithful, it will also be interesting to see just how much support for a team that has entered into a deal with Los Angeles and will probably be bolting soon.
On paper, the pieces are set in place for the fans to give it one last shot at supporting their team, but will they?
