High Value C

Mason Plumlee-Portland Trail Blazers (5,600): Plumlee played just 23 minutes against the Kings on Tuesday but he quickly piled up 29.1 fantasy points with 12 points, eight rebounds, two blocks, a steal, and an assist.  He has at least 29 fantasy points in three of his last four games, and he’s in a great matchup tonight against the Hornets who won’t have Cody Zeller yet again leaving them short-handed up front.  The only reason Plumlee isn’t more of a lock is that he usually plays under 30 minutes and isn’t extremely aggressive. ∗∗

Kelly Olynyk-Boston Celtics (5,000): Olynyk’s role varies widely a night-to-night basis, and his minutes can fluctuate based on what the rest of the Boston front court is doing.  He has managed to score at least 11 points in eight of his last nine games and has at least 20 fantasy points in six of his last eight games including three games with at least 29.9 fantasy points. If he played good minutes against the Magic, he’ll be a great option, but he’s high risk based on his lack of a clearly-defined and predictable role.

Alex Len-Phoenix Suns (4,800): Len has been playing well since returning from his hand injury and has stepped into the starting lineup alongside Tyson Chandler.  Len had a bad game on Wednesday, but he had posted three games in a row with over 32 fantasy points before his quiet game in Cleveland. Whether he continues to start or moves back to the bench, Len should get enough time to continue to be a good option since the Suns need to develop him since he’s much more a part of their future than the aging Tyson Chandler.

Spencer Hawes-Charlotte Hornets (4,000): Given the fact that the Hornets were blown out and that he was went up with Rudy Gobert, it isn’t surprising that Hawes had a down game even though he continued to start for Cody Zeller. Hates has started each of the Hornets last four games and had over 24 fantasy points in the first three of those contests before struggling to 15.8 fantasy points on Wednesday.  He’ll look to bounce back in a better matchup against the Blazers.
