Giannis Antetokounmpo got loose on a fast break and busted out a jam worthy of the dunk contest

The Milwaukee Bucks have been inconsistent at best in the 2015-16 NBA season, despite relatively lofty preseason expectations. A big part of that has been the inconsistent play of young star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo this year, but there’s still no denying the talent or physical gifts of the young Bucks star. On Friday night against the Miami Heat, The Greek Freak showed off those gifts just a little bit when he got loose on the break.

The Bucks picked up a steal that left Antetokounmpo all alone with no one even really in pursuit. The youngster realized this and took his time getting to the rim before unleashing a nasty reverse, double-clutch jam more than worthy of being seen in the Slam Dunk Contest:

"Giannis should be in the dunk contest"

With the way that NBA All-Star Weekend is shaping up right now, the field for the 2016 dunk contest is certainly a bit in question. With that being said, throwing a guy like Giannis into the mix to compete against the likes of the defending champ in Zach LaVine isn’t the worst idea. If he’s throwing down jams like this off of fast breaks in game action, what he would be capable of if he had a good night in the Slam Dunk Contest could be something beyond memorable.
