With the Carolina Panthers heading off to Super Bowl 50, there is a lot of focus on the offensive side of the ball and the polarizing Cam Newton. However, Newton will be the first one to tell you that a lot of his success this season has had to do with his receivers, and none have really been better for Cam than tight end Greg Olsen.

During 16 games in the regular season, Olsen hauled in 77 passes for 1,104 yards with seven touchdowns. A quarterback always loves himself a versatile tight end that can help things down the field, and Olsen proved this season that he is one of the best.

With Olsen having a dynamic year in the Panthers’ offense, of course his jerseys are starting to fly off the shelves. But in the specific case of Olsen, his sales have seen a rapid increase.

According to the DICK’S Sporting Goods Jersey Report, which reflects sales both nationwide and online, Olsen’s jersey sales rank No. 14 overall in the NFL right now, and the only tight end in front of him is Rob Gronkowski, who sits in the No. 3 spot at the moment.

Being No. 14 overall in the NFL in jersey sales is quite the feat, but here’s a little bit of perspective on just how far Olsen has come. Since the beginning of the season, to get to this No. 14 spot, Olsen climbed a staggering 140 spots. This is all the proof you need that if you go out there and become one of the best pass-catchers in the NFL on one of the best teams, you’re going to reap the benefits.
