With his club tied 1-1 to Burnley in FA Cup action, Alexis Sanchez gave Arsenal a 2-1 lead in the 53rd minute of play.

Arsenal have been enjoying a fairly successful season, as they sit level on points with Manchester City behind Premier League leaders, Leicester City. The club also remain alive in the UEFA Champions League, as well as, the FA Cup.

On Saturday, Arsenal were hosting Burnley in FA Cup action, as they took a break from their stellar Premier League campaign. Calum Chambers gave the home side the lead in just the 19th minute, before Sam Vokes tied the match up 11 minutes later. However, Chilean international Alexis Sanchez came to his side’s rescue in the second half burying one past Burnley goalkeeper,

Tom Heaton.

The 27-year-old has been plagued with injuries this season, only managing to make 13 league appearances during the current campaign. Saturday’s match marks his first FA Cup appearance of the year, and his team is more than happy to have him back in the lineup.

Sanchez is in his second season with the Gunners, having made a big-money move from Barcelona in the summer of 2014, after spending three years with the Spanish giants.

The Chilean also helped his country win the Copa America on home soil in 2015. He has made over 90 appearances for his country already, despite still being in his twenties.

Arsenal will be back in midweek Premier League action, when they host Southampton on Tuesday at 2:45 p.m. ET.
