Previous: . Brooklyn Nets. 4. team. 147.
If the Nets have committed a crime, it is the crime of being sinfully boring. Outside of the upheaval that took place when Brooklyn elected to part ways with its general manager and head coach in-season, the organization has been largely out of view when it comes to the NBA in 2016.

The on-court product is a big reason why that has transpired, as Brooklyn has lost 12 of 14 games. That run of incompetence has provided real “cushion” for the Nets in holding the second-worst record in the Eastern Conference and, in truth, the Sixers have been better than the Nets for a good while.

It is almost a good thing that no one is watching Brooklyn right now, but we can assure you that it isn’t a lot of fun.
. (12-35)

(20-25). Previous: . Orlando Magic. 3. team. 38.
What in the world are the Magic doing in this space?

Orlando is 20-25 on the year and the team has been (much) better than any other outfit we recognize. However, Scott Skiles’ team has “earned” inclusion with their recent play.

The Magic have dropped eight straight games to fall to five games under .500, and since the calendar flipped to 2016, Orlando is a ghastly 1-12. To be fair, the Magic were looking like a playoff team before the collapse, which is why they aren’t lower on this list, but the wheels have come careening off the wagon in the new year.

While both sides of the ball have been disastrous, it has been Orlando’s offense that is the biggest problem. The Magic are dead last in offensive rating since Jan. 1, scoring only 95.9 points per 100 possessions, and every fear of the Skiles era has come to fruition. There is reason to believe that Orlando will climb out of this, but if they don’t, an ascension in these rankings isn’t out of the question.
