Shinsuke Nakamura is heading to WWE, but first he needed to say goodbye to New Japan Pro Wrestling.

This past week we learned the news that we all knew was coming, that being one of the biggest stars in the professional wrestling world, Shinsuke Nakamura, would be coming to WWE. It was announced that he will be appearing during the NXT Takeover event in Dallas during WrestleMania weekend, and everyone just can’t wait to see him bring those talents to the United States.

However, before he does come to the US to show us all what great professional wrestling is, he needed to first say goodbye to the place that he helped resurrect — New Japan Pro Wrestling.

It’s been no secret that Nakamura has been instrumental in bringing New Japan back to prominence over the course of the last decade or so, so it has to be hard for him to leave all of that behind to test the WWE waters. What we also knew was that January 30 was his last date for New Japan Pro Wrestling, and afterwards, he got the send off that he so rightfully deserved.

You can just see how beloved and respected this man is in the world of New Japan, but as he said, he’s accomplished all that he could over there and now it’s time to come conquer the United States.

Really, this shouldn’t be a difficult task for someone that possesses the talents he does in the ring and out of it as well.
