3. Calvin Johnson’s final touchdown

At the time no one knew it, but now it appears that Calvin Johnson’s touchdown on the road against the Chicago Bears in Week 17, would be the final touchdown of his career. What made it so ominous is the fact that Johnson made sure to go get the football after he scored.

On the play, it was a beautiful pass by Matthew Stafford to Johnson, who dove for the catch in the end zone after blazing his way past the defender. It was as beautiful of a touchdown as Johnson has made in his career.

It’s sort of fitting that his final touchdown would come against the Bears, as it was the very same stadium where Johnson was infamously robbed of a touchdown, which has set in motion a rule that has become one of the hardest for officials to call on the field.

It would be the 83rd touchdown of his career and you can tell watching Johnson on the field when he caught it, that it might be the very last of his career. Not only did he have the big touchdown, but he was a catalyst in the Lions’ win over their division rivals.

Johnson finished the day with 10 catches for 137 yards and that fateful touchdown.
