Awesome Kong gets sent home from TNA European tour
Awesome Kong is again in trouble with TNA following an exchange with Matt Hardy’s wife
While on the company’s European Tour, TNA wrestler Awesome Kong and Reby Sky, the real-life wife of TNA World Heavyweight Champion Matt Hardy, were involved in a violent fight. The end result was Kong being sent home by TNA. As of now, her future with the company is unclear.
According to WrestleZone.com, the incident was a result of Kong disapproving Sky’s intent to change in the women wrestlers’ locker room. Kong immediately threw Sky’s bag out of the room, and Sky then went to find a TNA official. There are different sides to the story regarding who attacked whom afterward. Not helping Kong’s cause was finding out that Reby and Matt Hardy’s son Maxel was nearby, making the environment extremely tense and uncomfortable.
Both of these women have had history with one another since 2013. Kong called out Reby after the latter made comments about Sid Vicious no-showing an event. Kong made disparaging remarks about Reby, calling her a “peon,” among other words. Later on, Reby called her out on Twitter. Until now, the two haven’t really interacted with one another.
John Gaburick, Executive Vice President of Creative & Talent Relations for TNA, later provided the following tweets regarding the situation:

What makes matters worse for Kong is her violent history with the company. TNA let her go in 2010 after she attacked Bubba the Love Sponge. A friend of Hulk Hogan’s when he was with the company, Bubba made remarks about Kong that she didn’t like, and she acted accordingly.
While nothing is certain about Kong’s future with TNA, she is clearly not helping herself. She may be one of the best female wrestlers out there, but she clearly has a lot to learn about holding her anger. Violence in the workplace (when it isn’t in kayfabe) is never a good thing.
