FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 31
Hopefully, my FanDuel daily picks for this Sunday, January 31, can help us close out the month and the weekend with a DFS fantasy basketball win.
The NBA has seven games lined up for today on our first football-free Sunday since August (no, the Pro Bowl does not count). With one matinee in LA, there are six games in the main competition window for DFS fantasy basketball. My FanDuel daily picks for today are from those 12 teams in action at 6:00 PM ET or later which gives us a solid slate of options .

There are two games scheduled to tip off at the 6:00 PM ET roster lock time as the Heat welcome in the Hawks and the Magic and Celtics finish their home-and-home in Orlando. At 7:00, the Suns head to Dallas to take on the Mavericks followed at 7:30 by Steph Curry and the Warriors making their annual trip to Madison Square Garden to take on the Knicks. NBATV has the Blazers and T-Wolves at 9:00, and in the final game of the day the Hornets take on the Lakers at STAPLES Center to close out the evening.
The Warriors are the only team playing for the second day in a row today, so fatigue won’t be a factor for most teams. There are some good options to consider from Golden State as well as the other 11 teams taking the floor. To see who I like the most, check out my FanDuel daily picks on the following slides. You’ll find two slides per position–one for high-salary options and one for high-value options. Each slide contains at least two selections with extras thrown in where possible. I base each pick on the current form of each player and the positional matchups each player will face in tonight’s game.
This month, I also have started to rank my picks using stars after each selection. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but in short, more stars means less risk. On the final slide of the post, you can see my results for the month of January at each level of confidence. Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the best of my picks into my lineup for today’s contests.
