Ex-Cowboys running back Joseph Randle was arrested for speeding.

It’s been a really hard few years for ex-Dallas Cowboys starter Joseph Randle. He went from being the team’s replacement for DeMarco Murray to demoted before being cut altogether. This came after Randle was given a second chance following getting into trouble in 2014 for stealing cologne from a Dillard’s — of all places.

According to police reports, via The Sporting News, Randle was arrested early Monday morning for speeding.

"Randle was arrested early Monday morning in a Dallas suburb for speeding. He was booked at 3:39 a.m. and his bail was set at $359, according to Irving City Jail records. The jail’s booking list incorrectly spells the 24-year-old’s last name as “Randal,” but the birth date listed is the same as the player’s and the mug shot clearly is of Randle."

This is yet another slip-up for a guy ho was setup with a pretty good chance to succeed in Dallas this past season. Randle was given the starting running back role in Week 1 and actually had some productive weeks before getting hurt and then getting into trouble after he was released by the team.

It’s hard to see Randle getting another shot in the NFL anytime soon, as even when he was productive it wasn’t consistent. The Cowboys boast what has to be the best offensive line in football, and Randle was only able to capitalize on that a handful of times. In his on-field defense, Tony Romo’s absence for all but one game Randle was available for didn’t help, but getting into trouble off the field like this — more consistently than he was productive on the field — isn’t the best way to convince teams to give him a shot.
