We have the Super Bowl 50 odds for the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos.

Carolina is entering its second Super Bowl since being an expansion team in 1995, joining the National Football League at the same time as the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Denver Broncos are in their eighth Super Bowl and second in three years, yet they are playing the role of underdog. The Panthers are favored by 5.5 points with an OVER/UNDER of 45, according to OddsShark.

This line should come as a surprise to nobody. Denver barely toppled the beaten-up Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Divisional round before getting past the New England Patriots in the conference title game. The Broncos have endured throughout the season despite rancid quarterback play out of Peyton Manning and mediocrity from Brock Osweiler.

Meanwhile, Carolina is nothing short of a juggernaut in 2015. The Panthers rolled to a 14-0 start before finishing 15-1. In the playoffs, the Panthers pummeled the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals, widely considered the two best teams in the NFC outside of Carolina. The Panthers also have the league’s likely MVP in Cam Newton, who has matured from a good to great player in his fifth year.

The Panthers have been underrated for much of the season, but it’s clear that Vegas has finally found respect for this group. Carolina was only a field-goal favorite in both of its playoff games, with the line saying that they were on even ground with Seattle and Arizona. The scores proved otherwise.
