Coldplay is going to play the Super Bowl 50 halftime show and Broncos receiver Demaryius Thomas has no idea who they are

The Denver Broncos and wide receiver Demaryius Thomas will be playing in Super Bowl 50. The famed halftime show of the big game will be played by one of the biggest pop-rock bands in the world Coldplay. As it turns out, though, Thomas has absolutely no idea who Coldplay is, which was made clear on Super Bowl 50 Opening Night.

Talking to the media, the explosive Broncos wideout was asked what his favorite Coldplay song is. Without missing a beat, Thomas replied just about as honestly as a player could in his situation, saying, “Who?”

The thoughts of the masses regarding Coldplay performing at halftime for Super Bowl 50 have been unleashed since the announcement was made and, well, the majority are less than favorable. However, it feels pretty safe to say that Thomas is indifferent on the matter since he has no idea who Chris Martin and company even are.

Not that it really matters, though. Thomas has a couple more things on his plate to worry about leading up to Feb. 7 than who the band that sings “Speed of Sound” or whatever Coldplay’s latest hit is. Figuring out how to beat the stifling coverage of Josh Norman seems slightly more important for Thomas to figure out leading up to the Super Bowl.
