Panthers’ Thomas Davis reaffirms he will be playing in Super Bowl 50
Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis reaffirmed at Super Bowl Opening Night that he would be playing in Super Bowl 50.
Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis has come a long way to get to where he is now. He has been the heart and soul of the Panthers’ defense for years and has been one of the veteran players that his team leans on.
During the NFC Championship Game, Davis fractured his arm after Arizona Cardinals tight end Darren Fells leaped right into his arms. Despite the fact that he has a fractured arm, Davis isn’t going to miss the opportunity to play in the Super Bowl after waiting his entire career to get there.
At Super Bowl Opening Night, Davis reaffirmed to reporters that he will play on Sunday.
Davis has consistently been a warrior for the Panthers. He’s had multiple season-ending injuries in his career and he’s come back stronger each and every single time. His work ethic is what makes him a great player and on Sunday, he will be lining up next to Luke Kuechly just like he always has.
Davis immediately had surgery the day after the NFC Championship and his will to play in the game shows the sort of player that he is. Even though his arm is fractured, that’s not going to limit the way that he plays in Super Bowl 50.
