Could the Los Angeles Clippers be willing to part ways with Blake Griffin for Kevin Durant?

Especially given how much he has been in the news as of late, it’s really no secret that rumors are starting to run rampant about the Los Angeles Clippers trading away star Blake Griffin. With this team just not being able to get over the hump with the way they’re constructed at the moment, some believe that it’s time for the Clippers and the big man to part ways once and for all for a fresh start on both sides.

However, the Clippers aren’t just going to throw Griffin on the block and try to be done with it. No, the fact of the matter is that Griffin is still one of the top players in the game, and if they’re going to get rid of him, the Clippers are going to make sure they get something very nice back in return.

You know, like maybe Kevin Durant, for example.

According to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski, this is something that could be on the table. It would come down to the wire, but Woj reports that if the Thunder feel as if they have no shot at keeping their star around, they would start listening to some sign-and-trade offers. Furthermore, the Clippers would not think twice about giving away Griffin if they knew they were getting Durant back in return, essentially rebooting the Big Three in LA with Chris Paul, DeAndre Jordan and now Durant.

There’s still a lot of time left in the Kevin Durant saga, as we’re not even at the All-Star break this year. But it’s certainly interesting to know that this is something we could see take place.
