The Clemson Tigers ended up signing 19 players to their 2016 recruiting class after winning the ACC and playing in the 2015 National Championship Game.
The Clemson Tigers put together a strong top 15 class in the 2016 recruiting cycle with 19 commitments to the 2016 class. Dabo Swinney’s Tigers played for a National Championship and ended up with the No. 14 recruiting class in the country, which was second in the ACC to only Atlantic Division rival Florida State.
In Clemson’s 2016 recruiting class, the Tigers had two five-star signees, three in Scout’s Top 100, nine four-star commitments, and eight three-star recruits. 11 of its commitments project as offensive players and eight will play defense for Coach Swinney at Clemson.
Being that Clemson is in the ACC, they don’t have to out recruit every team in the country, just every team in the ACC. While Florida State got the upper hand on Clemson in the 2016 recruiting cycle, the Tigers are still poised to repeat as Atlantic Division Champions in 2016.
Getting players like five-star defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence and five-star running back Tavien Feaster to commit to Clemson does a great job in proving the the Tigers can recruit with the best of the teams in the currently. Look for the Tigers to continue to build on last year’s success with the 19 guys they signed this year.
