According to report, the Houston Rockets are going to go all in on Kevin Durant during free agency.

Under general manager Daryl Morey, the Houston Rockets are always a team to watch every single off-season. The Rockets have some big questions ahead of them at the trade deadline and going into the off-season.

Center Dwight Howard can opt out and the Rockets could very well move him at the deadline if they were blown away with an offer. While Howard remains one piece of the puzzle for the Rockets, the team apparently has their eyes sight on Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant.

According to ESPN’s Calvin Watkins and Marc Stein, sources are saying that the Rockets intend to make a big push for Durant during free agency.

"The Rockets’ grand plan, sources said this week, remains making an all-out pursuit in free agency this summer for Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant. Rockets officials have long believed privately that they will have as good a chance as any team to lure Durant away from the Thunder in the offseason because of his strong relationship with former teammate James Harden and the room Houston has to pay Durant max-contract money while also re-signing Howard."

The Rockets being interested in Durant should come as no surprise to anyone, as just about every team in the league is going to be interested in Durant. The Rockets have been in on just about every major free agent each summer and the team is looking to add that final piece to Harden and Howard.

The question is whether or not they can land Howard. While they can offer superstars around him, there’s a chance that other teams might be able to do the same and if the Golden State Warriors get involved then all bets are off in the Durant chase.

Plenty of teams have the summer in mind and are getting ready to position themselves for the Durant chase. The Rockets are one of those teams that is getting prepared to go after the biggest free agent available.
