According to a report, the Toronto Raptors are interested in a couple of forwards from the Phoenix Suns.
The NBA Trade Deadline is just a couple of weeks away and the rumors are beginning to circulate about which players will be moved. Since the beginning of January, the Phoenix Suns have been the worst team in basketball and are on a tailspin straight to the worst record in the NBA.
With their nosedive, the Suns are expected to move many veterans on their roster for future assets as they build around their young blooming superstar Devin Booker. According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, The Toronto Raptors are showing interest in both the Suns’ P.J. Tucker and Markieff Morris.
ESPN sources say Toronto is among the teams expressing trade interest in Suns swingman P.J. Tucker in advance of the Feb. 18 trade deadline

Toronto, I'm told, also showing interest in Suns' Markieff Morris; PHX widely seen as a LOCK to do at least one deal before Feb. 18 deadline

Tucker is a player that can shoot from the outside and guard the other team’s best defender. With DeMarre Carroll dealing with injuries, the Raptors would be acquiring another high effort player that can provide toughness and a spark off the bench.
Morris has long been a guy that people have expected the Suns to move in a deal ever since before the season. Morris put up his best game against the Raptors on Tuesday night, and it’s clear that he’s beginning to elevate his play and show what he can do as the trade deadline nears.
It’s not clear if the Raptors would try to acquire both players, but they would have to give the Suns something of value in return as those are two big players for Phoenix. Either player would be a great addition for the Raptors as they get ready for the stretch run of the season and the playoffs.
