According to Adam Schefter, the Los Angeles Rams are discussing Peyton Manning as an option in 2016

The Los Angeles Rams are currently looking for a way to sell tickets in their new home as well as be competitive during the 2016 season. Their biggest issue for a while now has been the quarterback position, and most recently Nick Foles hasn’t worked out like they hoped.

With the position being such an issue within the organization in recent years the Rams, according to Adam Schefter, are discussing Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning as an option for the 2016 season.

From ESPN:

"The Rams have had internal discussions about bringing Peyton Manning to Los Angeles should he want to play another season, per a league source. The Rams still are formulating their quarterback plans. But they are monitoring the Manning situation, per a source, which is a sign that the Broncos quarterback could have options next season."

The Rams are likely going to draft a quarterback to groom for the future with their pick this season. Should Peyton move on from the Broncos, he could be a great option for the Rams and would be a terrific mentor to their future quarterback. Manning would also help sell tickets and make the Rams relevant, something that they struggled with in St. Louis.

Peyton Manning could retire after Super Bowl 50 this Sunday, which means that he obviously wouldn’t be an option for the Rams at that point. However, if he decides that he wants to stick around for one more year, the Rams could be a great destination for him. Manning would join Johnny Unitas as another quarterback who ended his career in southern California.
