The nation’s No. 1 overall recruit, five-star DT Rashan Gary, headed to signing day in a limo.
National Signing Day has taken on a life of its own in recent years. It went from a pretty interesting 24-hour span with few surprises to a spectacle where anything can happen. The nation’s No. 1 recruit, five-star defensive tackle Rashan Gary, decided to make the most of it Wednesday morning, heading to signing day in a limo.
Hey, if you’re the nation’s top overall recruit, according to Scout.com and just about every other recruiting service, you might as well show off.
How much more ridiculous can National Signing Day get? Prospects are making announcement videos, ceremonies are planned for decisions and now high school kids are heading to their signing day in limos? Unreal.

This isn’t the first time a recruit has stolen the show in spectacular fashion, and it surely won’t be the last.
Hailing from Paramus, N.J., Gary is the nation’s most sought-after recruit and all eyes will be on him around 1:10 p.m. ET on Wednesday as he chooses between Michigan and Clemson. Many believe he is a Wolverine-lean, but the buzz on the morning of signing day is that Clemson could be the choice.
Whoever lands the 6-foot-4, 286-pound behemoth from Paramus Catholic will have a true freshman starter and defensive line stud for years to come.
Ride in style, young man, you earned it. I think.
