WWE legend Ric Flair is clearly not a fan of Ohio State.
Michigan has been going a long way with Wednesday’s National Signing Day. They brought in top stars in the sports and entertainment industry like NFL star Tom Brady, former MLB star Derek Jeter and WWE legend Ric Flair. The school also received a commitment from the nation’s No. 1 recruit in Rashan Gary.
Well, during the Michigan NSD event, Flair was one of many go on stage and present a speech. Normally when this WWE Hall of Famer speaks in public, there is always something odd to take away from it. His speech at a WWE event in Aug. 2013 arguably led to legendary commentator Jim Ross not having his contract renewed by the company.
While not nearly as bad, Flair took to the podium and made a comment about the Ohio State Buckeyes on Wednesday that fans of the school may not appreciate.
The Nature Boy has always been an interesting character, so him saying something like this isn’t a surprise. It drew a big reaction from the Wolverines fans in attendance for this event and probably a few eye rolls from the Buckeyes faithful.
Maybe Flair will go on Monday Night Raw five days from now and profess his love for Michigan while helping his daughter, WWE Divas Champion Charlotte, win a match.
