2016 NBA Dunk Contest: Official lineup
The 2016 NBA Dunk Contest will feature Minnesota Timberwolves guard Zach LaVine defending his title against some of the best.
One of the big events during NBA All-Star Weekend that everyone looks forward to is the dunk contest. Some of the most classic moments in the All-Star Weekend contest have been etched in stone in NBA history and will live on forever in the minds of basketball fans everywhere.
Last year, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Zach LaVine put together quite the show and won his first dunk contest. He will be back in Toronto this year, as he looks to defend his title against three of the best at dunking in the NBA.
While LaVine is the favorite to win because of his explosiveness, he’s got his work cut out for him. He will be defending his title against Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond, Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon and Denver Nuggets guard Will Barton.
Each of these men are going to bring their best and aim to do things in the contest that have never been done for. They will also probably do a bit of throwback and honor past dunk contests, which has become one of the cool traditions of the contest.
It will also be cool to see how they incorporate their teammates as well. Whatever the case may be, there’s some heavyweights in this year’s competition and it’s going to be worth the watch.
