The San Antonio Spurs will be without Manu Ginobili for the next 4-6 weeks.

The spurs are the second-best team in the National Baskebtall Association, but now they have another injury to overcome. On Thursday, it was learned the the future Hall of Famer would be out for 4-6 weeks with a groin injury, per Dan Feldman of NBC Sports.

Ginobili is aging and no longer one of the most important players on the Spurs, but he maintains value. While Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, LaMarcus Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard are the superstars, Ginobili provides some veteran leadership and the ability to get hot while slashing to the hoop.

At this juncture, there is no reason to rush back the 38-year-old. San Antonio is going to win the Southwest Division in a laugher. The only team that they will finish behind is the Golden State Warrriors, who are an absurd 45-4. Both teams are undefeated at home, something no team has ever pulled off for a full season before.

San Antonio has won five championships since 1999 under head coach Gregg Popovich and is looking to make it a sixth. However, it will likely come down to a duel between the Warriors and Spurs in the Western Conference Finals.
