New York Rangers. Keith Yandle. 1. player. 95. . D

The Chicago Blackhawks desperately need to add a puck mover to their blue line. The best way for the Chicago Blackhawks to do that would be by trading for New York Rangers defenseman Keith Yandle. Yes, there is a slight issue because Niklas Hjalmarsson and Yandle are both left-handed. However, having played hockey myself, it’s not that big of an issue. Especially not with players as immensely talented as those two.

Yandle would give the Chicago Blackhawks a very capable puck mover to put on the second pairing. He has been criminally underutilized with the Rangers. Does he have his defensive deficiencies? Sure. And they tend to be highlighted since he often has the puck and the Rangers have often paired him with someone who can’t move the puck. That often leaves Yandle to fend for himself when moving the puck out of the defensive zone.

Yandle wouldn’t cost that much for the Chicago Blackhawks to get. It would likely cost them at least second round pick. If the Rangers get enough teams interested in Yandle, the Chicago Blackhawks could be forced to part with their first round pick. That wouldn’t be the end of the world because to the Chicago Blackhawks, Keith Yandle is worth it.
