Late in Friday nightsā game against the Cleveland Cavaliers the Boston Celtics found themselves in a ton of trouble. With just 18 seconds left, Boston trailed the Cavs by five and LeBron James was playing well. In almost any situation that is a recipe for a loss, but the Celtics do not quit under Brad Stevens and Stevens and Avery Bradley combined for some late magic.

First of all, what a play by Brad Stevens. He used Isaiah Thomas perfectly, essentially as a decoy to slip Bradley behind him for the game winner. Then Bradley made things work by hitting a tough, kind of contested three at the buzzer to win the game.
The win helped the Celtics stay tied with the Atlanta Hawks for third place in the Eastern Conference and leaves the Cavs with a bit of frustration and possibly some doubt. That is a tough lead to blow and while Bradley making a tough shot played a part in it, Cleveland cannot be happy with the result.
