Heat veteran star Dwyane Wade threw down a monster jam in transition on a pair of Hornets
Dwyane Wade is heading to the 2016 NBA All-Star Game after he was voted in as a starter. However, there are plenty of basketball fans out there who believe that the Miami Heat veteran star isn’t wholly deserving of the nod. Even with that criticism being out there, Wade has played phenomenally this season. Moreover, he’s shown off that he can enter the time machine and pull out some big-time plays like what he did to the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night.
Nearing the end of the first half of their matchup in Charlotte on Friday night, Wade got out in transition with both Nicolas Batum and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist in pursuit. As Wade got into the lane, he dispatched MKG with a simply hesitation and turn and then threw down a monster jam as Batum tried to come from behind to get a chase-down block:
That was absolutely filthy and looked far from something you normally see from a long-time veteran with questionable knees. Then again, Dwyane Wade certainly isn’t most players that are in his situation in terms of injuries and mileage on his legs.
However, that big dunk didn’t fully swing the momentum of the game in favor of the Heat going into halftime as the two teams remained tied as they went to the locker room. Even still, Wade will still have one of the highlights of the night, no matter the result of the game.
